You are invited to a special St. Joseph Healthcare complimentary seminar and lunch on Monday, November 9, 2015 entitled: Planning Ahead: Expressing Your Wishes.
This seminar will begin with light drinks and snacks at 8:30 am in the Willette Conference Room located in building one at 900 Broadway and will conclude with lunch at 12:00.
At Planning Ahead: Expressing Your Wishes, attorney Jane Skelton from Rudman Winchell will present information about advanced healthcare directives, living wills and medical powers of attorney and why they are important for every person. She will explore how decisions made now through these documents can greatly enhance the healthcare experience for you and your loved ones at the end of your life.
A panel of associated professionals will talk about ways to maintain the highest quality of life possible, ramifications if we do not plan ahead and other aspects of end-of-life planning.
Copies of the State of Maine’s advanced directive form and The Five Wishes ®, a more personalized advanced directive, will be available for completion at the seminar or can be completed and returned at your convenience. St. Joseph Healthcare staff will be available afterward to help participants complete their own advance directive.
