Eva Quirion, family nurse practitioner at St. Joe’s Internal Medicine sat down with Joy this morning and talked about alternative to painkillers. There are several things we can do to manage pain that do not include opioid based medication. Exercise can be the best thing for us. Like anything, if you are just starting out, ease into it and don’t strain. Physical therapy may be a great option – even non prescription pain killers like Tylenol or Advil.
