Operation Community SAFER [Supporting area families to enable recovery]

Thank you to all those to participated in last night’s Town Hall at EMCC hosted by Congressman Bruce Poliquin.

Last night’s Town Hall provided a safe, supportive space for families to come together and learn proven prevention strategies and local treatment and recovery resources so they can more constructively support their loved ones and communities. In addition to hearing inspiring stories from area families supporting a loved one in recovery, attendees had time to talk directly with Eastern Maine’s leading prevention, treatment, law enforcement and health care leaders, and each other. It was a powerful educational event.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department and the Bangor Police Department hosted a prescription take-back event on site.

share-circleWe spoke about our Circle of Caring activities and made a circle [see the video below!], several of those in attendance joined our Circe of Caring and pledged their support. For that we give great thanks!

Will you please join our Circle of Caring?
