Benefiting EPILEPSY FOUNDATION NEW ENGLAND INC
At EFNE’s Orono epilepsy walk, you will be able to honor loved ones living with epilepsy, remember those we have lost, raise epilepsy awareness, and support epilepsy fundraising. The funds raised by our dedicated walkers, volunteers, and sponsors help us to provide support for education and services, and accelerate new therapies. Come join a community of spirit and strength!

$20.00 – EFNE walk T-shirt, snacks and all activities are included in the registration fee.
The walk is at the University of Maine Orono. Activities and start for the walk are on the Mall on Long Road near the Collins Center for the Arts.
Dynamic Earth Planetarium Program for Earth Day!

Explore the inner workings of Earth’s climate system with visualizations based on satellite monitoring data and advanced supercomputer simulations. This exciting program follows a trail of energy that flows from the Sun into the interlocking systems that shape our climate: the atmosphere, oceans, and the biosphere. Audiences will ride along on swirling ocean and wind currents, dive into the heart of a monster hurricane, come face-to-face with sharks and gigantic whales, and fly into roiling volcanoes. We explore the relationship between Earth and the Sun, life and the carbon cycle, Earth’s climate control system, and how human activities are changing our planet. Come learn how dynamic planet Earth really is!
Earth Day Hike
Location: Hills to Sea Trail, Oak Hill Road train station, Belfast, Maine
On Earth Day morning from 9 to 12, enjoy a 4 1/2 mile hike on the Hills to Sea Trail. Meet at 9 am at the Oak Hill Road train station outside of Belfast and bring water, lunch, and rain gear.

Rotary Club of Bangor’s 12th annual Music Off Broadway

Rotary Club of Bangor to present its 12th annual Music off Broadway production on Saturday, April 22 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 23 at 2 p.m. All three shows will be held at Peakes Auditorium at Bangor High School. This year’s show is called “A Centennial Celebration” in honor of the Rotary Club of Bangor’s 100th year of service.
Proceeds from the 2017 show will benefit several area non-profit organizations, including Challenger Learning Center of Maine, Eastern Area Agency on Aging, Shaw House, United Farmer Veterans of Maine, Camp Capella, and Hilltop School of Maine. The event will also fund various other charities supported by Bangor Rotary, including Bangor East & West Little League, United Way of Eastern Maine and Rotary scholarships.
General admission tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for youth and $35 for patrons who receive preferred seating. Tickets are now available from Rotary Club members and on sale at Rebecca’s in downtown Bangor, Patrick’s Hallmark Store, Huckleberries in Bucksport, and select Bangor region Camden National Bank branches. They will also be on sale at the door on the performance dates.

Old Town-Orono YMCA Tumbling Clinic

This two-hour structured class with trained gymnastics coaches will teach proper tumbling technique to help improve current skills and assist with accomplishing new ones!
