Caitlin Brittelli is a student at the Husson University School of Pharmacy, as well as an advocate for Generation Rx—a nation-wide educational initiative to promote safe medication practices in an effort to prevent the misuse of prescription drugs. Generation Rx is offered through a partnership between the Cardinal Health Foundation and The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy.
As an ambassador for this initiative, Caitlin is organizing a Medication Take Back Day on October 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Brewer Medical Center, 735 Wilson Street, Brewer. She is working with Penobscot Community Health Care again to provide a day for people in the area to safely and freely dispose of their old and unused medications in order to ensure safe medication practices, as well as to deter medication diversion.
