As we head into flu season, remember to keep preventive healthcare at the top of your to-do list. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends the annual influenza vaccine for everyone six months of age and older.
Influenza (flu), also referred to as seasonal flu, is a highly contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. Anyone can get the flu as it is spread easily from person to person, usually when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
During National Influenza Vaccination Week, get your annual flu vaccine at a local pharmacy or through your healthcare provider.
