As those around us age, family, friends, ourselves … we become aware of limitations. Being mobile is very important to independence and when age takes that away it can be very difficult for seniors. We will talk about safe driving with seniors

Originated by the American Occupational Therapy Association, you can take advantage of AAA’s resources, including science-based tools and programs, to navigate the issues associated with senior safety and mobility.

Throughout Older Driver Safety Awareness Week (December 5-9, 2016), AAA will highlight different aspects of older driver safety and aim to promote the importance mobility and transportation play in ensuring older adults remain active in their communities. Dates and topics include:

December 5: Identifying Changes That Can Affect Driving
December 6: Family Conversations
December 7: Screening & Evaluation
December 8: Driving Equipment & Adaptations
December 9: Taking Changes in Stride
